hey everyone,
metabolic is finally over, and so is psychology.. but the metabolic paper is so difficult though!! every single cycle that you can think of came out cause i think the professor doesn't want us to spot. gosh, entire pentose phosphate cycles, and krebs, and electon transport, and ATP synthase, and glycerol P cycle... erm. yar. i don't know how everything will turn out. (actually to think of it, it should be extremely easy if he focus on cycles cause it is just memorizations. afterall, if i can't even memorize, i probably don't qualify as a bio student) sigh. but the MCQs were very difficult too.
our suite played a game called "cranium" yesterday, which is a kind of board game. it is really fun, except that the entire game is based upon how much you know about the american cultue. of course i lost badly, but still, it was interesting. (you had to hum a song, and let others guess, or draw something, or scrupt something or some actions etc etc)
sigh. i just came back from linguistics lecture and i think linguistics is really getting out of hand. it is a pass/ no pass class, and i seriously wonder whether i will pass. For a long time we focused on the structure of native american languages, and i really just want to sleep through all of them. and now we are focusing on the decline of spanish in america and how it is maintained or not maintained. i really need to spend more time on it. gosh, but somehow i feel that i lack this innate understanding for languages.
alright, better go and have lunch, read through lab manual and prepare for lab. we are doing fluorescent proteins for the coming weeks!
