hello! lately been thinking abt whether it is possible to be a healthy herbivore(don't eat meat). (my mum better not see this or i die!=p) she wants me to eat well. Coincidentally the COFM lecture was on good diet, and the straits times also just nice had an article on it. So conclusion is- can eat walnuts for omega3 to maintain healthy neurons (improve memorising power!=) but walnuts have no dha which is formed very slowly in our bodies, and their omega3 to omega6 ratio is not correct, the ratio should be 1:1, like in our Paleont...(dunno how 2 sp) ancestors diet, otherwise eat too much omega6 not good for cardiovascular or sthg. and to get the omega3's good effects must not eat too much of other fats like saturated fats which will displace the omega3 in the cell membranes..so no CHEESECAKE, PEANUT BUTTER, ChOCOLAtE, NonyA Kuey...AhhH how to survive man@_@ The other alternative is to eat fish oil which is high in EPA and DHA. Oh well. Oh yah, i discovered avocado is a very nutritious plus very DELICIOUS food, has omega3 and complete protein, vit E and B, and it tastes gd with anythg! Everyone must try! Put in sandwich, or just dip in sugar=p, super creamy and nice.
