Hi everyone! I realised that the last post by me was dated a yr ago! Well, to make up for this, I shall put up many many photos of my trip to Japan. Hehe. Actually I already uploaded my photos onto my msn space, but cos Huiyu doesn't have msn, and to actually make sure that I am *ahem* contributing to this blog, I shall let my photos depict the story. For the remaining photos, refer to my msn space. hehe.

The Japan trip can be divided into 3 legs - Kyoto, Hokkaido and Tokyo, in which only 1 day was spent in Kyoto; Hokkaido was the longest, abt 8 days, while 6 days were for Tokyo. Shall juz zoom straight into Hokkaido, cos I totally enjoyed Hokkaido!

Hokkaido is very big, so we visited quite a number of places - Hakodate, Onuma Koen, Sapporo, Furano, Sounkyo, Otaru and Noboribetsu. I personally liked Hakodate, Furano and Otaru the most, cos they are cosy towns with lots of surprises to be discovered! Onuma Koen, Sounkyo and Noboribetsu were places I enjoyed too cos cycling and hiking are the must-have activities when you're out with nature. Plus they helped me shed the extra calories gained from consuming delicious Jap food! I cycled a whooping 46km in total, including one time where we cycled into a track that was meant to be a hiking trail at Onuma Koen. :P Sapporo was one of those big cities where gals dressed up pretty, salarymen were abound, and at night, there are pple giving out phamplets and trying to coherce you into their restaurants and clubs. Furano was lovely! Cos it had practically all the farms that I love, ranging from dairy products to flowers, tis is a heavenly place not to be missed! Too bad we had limited time to explore Furano, and as such didn't get to shop much. Furano is also the place where I stayed at a ryokan for the first time! But no photos for that, cos I slept too well at that ryokan. Haha. Lavender and melon ice-cream are a must at Farm Tomita! Otaru is my personal favourite, though I dun deny it is a town that has been designed to attract tourists. Still, the romantic aura nonetheless mesmerised me, complete with its canal, delicate and elegant glass ornaments and its orgels, aka musical boxes. Below are the photos I added first, there will be more to add along the way. Enjoy! :P

Okay, Now is the Tokyo leg, with Huiyu joining us! I shall put up my photos first, but cos I dun have all, so Huiyu can juz add them too. Tokyo is a major city, and there are many places to visit. Unlike Hokkaido which is more of a rural area, Tokyo is the typical city u get, but its population density is pretty scary, cos the JRs are at least 60% packed even during its non-peak hours. Everywhere u go in Tokyo, be prepared to meet a lot of pple. Kawaguchi-Ko was more rural, and hence there were much less pple, but more nature for u to enjoy.

Harajuku/Meiji Shrine/Ikebukuro

Kawaguchi-ko/Rikugien Gardens

Tokyo Disneyland

Asakusa Temple/Imperial Palace/Yushima-tenjin shrine

Tokyo Station/University of Tokyo/Tokyo Metropolitian Govt Building

Photo overload almost finished. Haha, realised I didn't finish posting the USA photos too!! Bleah, sorry for the misalignment, cos I'm too lazy to upload my photos to flickr, as its upload speed is really tooo slow. Overall, the trip was really very fun. But there were a few regrets and misses, like not being able to go to some of the places cos they were closed. Well, that's y I wanna go to Japan again next yr! LOL. So Wanting, if u still wanna go Japan next yr, jio me!!! In the meantime, I shall go polish up my Jap. hehe. ありがとう ございます!
